BLUE TIGERS WILL FIGHT ONCE MORE AGAINST VIETNAM AND SINGAPORE

The All India Football Federation announced today that the Indian men's football squad will play two international friendlies against Singapore and the host Vietnam in September.

Before facing Vietnam on September 27, the team will play Singapore on September 24.

As part of their preparation for the 2022 AFF Mitsubishi Electric Cup, Vietnam is hosting the friendly within the FIFA window (September 19 to September 27).

On September 22, the Blue Tigers will leave for Vietnam, and on September 28, they will return home.

The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) website states that the Thong Nhat Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City will likely host the games.

The three teams will compete in a tournament from September 21 to September 27. The winner will be determined by the team with the most points following a round-robin format, according to VFF.

Vietnam is now ranked 97th, Singapore is ranked 159th, and India is ranked 104th in the FIFA world rankings.

India will have the opportunity to further mix and match its lineup before the continental showcase calls calling next year. India qualified for the 2023 AFC Asian Cup two months ago.

Igor Stimac, head coach of India, said, "We are thrilled about the future challenges, and we're looking forward to maintaining the kind of performances that we have recently dished out."

Before the team departs for Vietnam, the coach stated that preparations are being made to organise a camp, and he is eager to have a practice match against Kerala Blasters.
