Dr. Riina Kionka, the Ambassador of the European Union to Pakistan, played the national anthem on the trumpet as a homage to Pakistan on the occasion of the country's 75th anniversary of its independence. A special campaign that was run on the social media channels of the European Union delegation to Pakistan in Islamabad shared the one-of-a-kind way to commemorate the upcoming 14th of August, which is the anniversary of Pakistan's attainment of its independence in 1947, in accordance with a news release that was issued by the European Union Commission on Thursday.

This day is notable since it was the first time that Pakistan proclaimed its independence from British rule. The year 2022 will also mark the culmination of 60 years of collaboration between the European Union and Pakistan, a long-standing partnership that has assisted both countries in becoming more powerful together. This milestone will be commemorated in the year 2022. In addition, it was stated that the European Union is committed to the establishment of a nation that is safe, democratic, and pluralistic; one that upholds human rights; and one that realises its full economic potential by promoting sustainable and inclusive growth for all of its residents. This was stated in the document. The EU-Pakistan strategic engagement plan was agreed in 2019.

Peace and security, democracy, rule of law, human rights, migration, energy, climate change, and research and technology are all areas of SEP collaboration, according to the report. As Pakistan's largest commercial partner, the EU helps it join the global economy and prosper sustainably.
