PILOTS FOR LUFTHANSA INTEND TO GO ON STRIKE AGAIN STARTING ON WEDNESDAY

The two-day walkout is scheduled to begin on Wednesday. However, if Lufthansa makes a "real offer," according to unions, industrial action may still be avoided.
According to the Vereinigung Cockpit (VC) union, Lufthansa pilots in Germany have agreed to go on a second round of strike action.
The union claimed that Lufthansa could stop the two-day strike that was scheduled to begin on Wednesday with a "real offer." According to news reports, there will be additional negotiations on Tuesday.
After failed negotiations on a new collective agreement, pilots already shut down the main operations of Lufthansa on Friday of last week.
After the news, a representative for Lufthansa expressed sadness that the union was going down the path of escalation.
On Wednesday and Thursday, passenger flights out of Germany were anticipated to be impacted by the strike, but only Wednesday was anticipated to have an impact on the cargo division of Lufthansa.
The strike only affects flights departing from German airports on Lufthansa and Lufthansa Cargo for legal reasons. The strike did not affect subsidiaries of Lufthansa like Swiss, Austrian, Brussels, and Eurowings.
Most flying operations were halted on Friday due to the all-day pilots' strike. More than 800 flights were cancelled, affecting almost 130,000 passengers. The incident, according to Lufthansa, cost it €32 million ($32 million).
