RAJNATH SINGH, THE DEFENSE MINISTER, MEETS WITH HIS TANZANIAN COUNTERPART IN PRIVATE
Rajnath Singh, the Indian defense minister, and Stergomena Lawrence Tax, the Tanzanian minister of defense and national service, met separately on Friday in Delhi. During the meeting, the two talked about a wide variety of topics pertaining to bilateral, regional, and industrial defense cooperation.
They also discussed methods to improve cooperation across all fields, with a focus on defense industrial cooperation, and they examined the current military-to-military activities.
A five-year road map will be developed by the task committee for enhancing defense cooperation between the two countries. The task force's creation was approved by both ministries. Tanzania was chosen as the ideal venue for the upcoming summit on mutual defense cooperation, it was also determined.
Lawrence Tax was also invited by Rajnath Singh to the DefExpo and India-Africa Defence Dialogue, which will take place in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, from October 18 to 22.
Earlier in the day, the Tanzanian minister paid a visit to the National War Memorial and presented a wreath in honor of the fallen troops. She was given a ceremonial guard of honor before to her private meeting with Rajnath Singh.
