UBER WANTS THE WORLD’S TAXIS ON ITS APP. PARIS MAY BE A TOUGH NUT TO CRACK

Two US businessmen's unhappiness with trying to hail a cab in Paris led to the creation of Uber.
Fast-forward The ride-hailing behemoth is making headlines in the French capital once more, this time courting the taxi drivers whose service it originally decried, more than ten years later.
"According to Uber, we are considering including taxis in the Paris version of the app.
“We are eager to co-construct with the industry a solution that fits taxis’ standards and Parisians’ transportation demands".
The business doesn't just operate in Paris. In an effort to increase the number of drivers available to consumers and shorten wait times, Uber has recently struck agreements with taxi companies all around the world to bring them onto its platform.
Deals have already been made in Greece, Italy, Turkey, Greece, Austria, Spain, and more lately, Brussels.
Paris, which may be the most difficult European city to take, is the target currently.
No one should ever forget what occurred in 2014 and 2015, nor the enormous blow that UberPop dealt to the French taxi industry, according to Mouhssine Berrada, president of the National Taxi Union of France's Paris branch.
UberPop, a service that relied on drivers without business licenses to pick up customers through the app and make extra money, was under fire from taxi associations on all sides and was outlawed by several European nations.
The service was subsequently discontinued in France in 2015, although national regulations governing how Uber works were relaxed, particularly with regard to how drivers can obtain a professional driver's license.
